Research statement

The glycome underpins molecular interaction and information flow in living systems. Unlike the genome or the proteome, it remains the 'dark matter' of biology, awaiting systematic exploration.

We follow a read–edit–engineer framework along the protein- and RNA-glycan axes, and turn our understanding of glycan function into controllable cellular programmes and disease interventions.
